I took a break from model railroading today. My package from Wm. K. Walthers, Inc. is supposedly due to arrive sometime tomorrow by FedEx. I did walk down to my local Dollar Tree store - less than 10 minutes from my location - and purchased a few times in preparation for all the projects I need to complete as soon as possible.

Bachmann Industries 0-6-0 with Tender Smokey Mountain Express I just received my package from eBay containing my steam locomotive. To make up for the loss of the AHM MDT/35-Ton Plymouth Diesel Switcher, I decided to purchase a Standard DC Bachmann Industries 0-6-0 Steam Locomotive decorated for the Smokey Mountain Express from eBay on June 30, 2023. Erik Fiske of Tony's Train Exchange should be able to convert this model to DCC since it was made in the mid-1990s. I'm still getting over the fact that I purchased this model for only $37.98 when the same model is sold through Wm. K. Walthers, Inc for $165.00! July 13, 2023 - Eureka!

After being disappointed by Erik Fiske of Tony's Train Exchange, I was up very late on July 11, 2023, searching online for persons/companies that could convert my Standard-DC Bachmann 0-6-0 Steam Locomotive to DCC. I found Train Freak Hobbies and emailed them  through their support email. I told them the following: Brand Wheel Arrangement Purchased From What I Generally Wanted - DCC Decoder/Sound/New Lighting Provided Pictures Of Product I checked my email on July 12, 2023, to find that I had not received a response from Train Freak Hobbies.  That's when I contacted my friend, Daniel Waite, in Colorado who has a YouTube Channel called Dan's Grand Valley RR . I emailed Dan hoping that he or his friend, Mike, could help me convert the Bachmann 0-60 Steam Locomotive to DCC. I explained the situation and sent the same pictures I had sent Train Freak Hobbies.
