January 27, 2021 - EMD GP9 Phase II
Walthers Mainline EMD GP9 Phase II Low Hood Western Maryland No.6419 (Chessie System) This was my first DCC-operated diesel locomotive from M.B. Klein on January 22, 2021. I also purchased a Walthers Mainline EMD GP9 Phased II Detailing Kit to detail the locomotive. The kit didn't work very well as the grab iron pieces were too small for me to handle, and I messed up the locomotive shell very badly. Although I still have the locomotive, I must find another EMD GP9 Phase II shell, high-nose or low-nose, on eBay. Once I have a new shell, the locomotive will stay as is - no more super-detailing projects.
